I got a traffic ticket in Toronto, and have chosen to take it to court. How long after I dropped the ticket off and asked for a trial should I expect to see a notice of the court date? Thanks in advance.

Call the court's clerk and ask if your case has been set for hearing. You don't want to miss your appearance date, and courts aren't too sympathetic to excuses.

The officer as a matter of paperwork usually puts the date on the ticket it's self, call the court house to reconfirm...

No more than 30 (thirty) days is the law in California. Not sure if it's the same in Toronto but don't worry, they'll definitely make sure you get your notification. Good luck and good times
