Printer model : HP Laserjet 1320 printer

Issue: Somebody told me when the printer is switched on for hours, some roller inside the printer get damaged due to over heating..

It's OK to keep the power on. Most printer have auto power save funtion. And heat roller didn't demage by over heat more than by print over-thick paper.

We have a few HP Laserjet 1320's that we leave on 24/7 with no problems. I did however find the following service announcement regarding how printing can be affected by use of a UPS or surge strip.

The heating element in the fuser is the only part of the printer that heats up. When the printer is not printing the element is cooled to a predetermined temperature.

If an overheating problem exists than typically the High Voltage Power Supply or DC Controller PCB are faulty.
