My best friend is expecting in about 4 weeks and I am hosting a baby shower for her about 1 week and a half. Not many off us have had experience with hosting or even attending one. Can you please suggust activities and games we can play? Or any good websites to visit for info?? Cheers Everyone

My mom used to do this often. One of my favorite games was one that everyone would be handed a napkin. When they were opened, only 1 had baby poopie in it (mustard). That person got a prize. Another great one goes like this: everyone is given a clothes pin to visibly pin to his / her shirt. This is done at the first of the shower,...maybe as they came in. Announce during eating, opening of presents, etc. that anytime that a person says the word "baby" he / she is subject to have that pin taken off. You'd be amazed how often that word is used at a shower. You'd also be amazed at how ridiculous grown women will act over some clothes pins. As each person gains more pins, he / she pins them with the others on his / her shirt. At the end, the person with the most wins.

games:
you can take a string or toilet paper and measure mommys belly. let the guests guess how long they need to wrap it around mommy. whoever is closer wins.
baby bingo
can buy or make bingo cards with baby words or pictures ex: booties, bottles, crib, pacifier.
dont forget to make a the cards to call them. whoever covers the board or straight bingo wins.
clothes pin game:
every guest gets one clothes pin when they arrive. but nobody can say baby. if you hear someone say it, you take there clothes pin away. the one with the most wins.
dirty diaper
you can make these. take cloth and make it like a diaper. mark one diaper with "poop" -brown paint, on the inside. or however many winners you want to have. pin one on each guest, later have everyone check their diaper. the ones with "poop" win.
activities:
buy a pack of cloth diapers-and rubber stamps, ink, or markers, flat fabric paint. have the guests decorate them any way they would like. best if you have 2 or 3 people per diaper-then you dont need so many. Now they just made lovely burping cloths for the baby.
Just do a google for baby shower games and read some of the sights. Alot of the stuff you can do real cheap. Like clothes pins from the dollar store. 1 yard of cheap baby fabric to make the poop diapers from walmart, etc.

Games like baby bingo where everyone takes a guess as to what gift she got and marks it down on the paper. Give the guest some string and have them cut how much they think her stomach is in size if it matches her stomach around the waist they win. For door prizes give everyone a little diaper sticker put some mustard in one whoever wins gets the door prize that is if they have the mustard in theres (it is susspose to look like poo) lol. There is so much more just look it up online. GOOD LUCK!

Get some yarn and have everybody cut a piece depending on how big around they think the mommy to be is.You could also look on line for word searches that consist of baby items.We played a game at mine where you make a list of kids from sitcom families and have the guest see if they can figure them all out:example

Games that you can play 1: Pass around toilet paper to all the guest. Have them tear off a length that they think would fit perfect around the pregnant friends waste. The one who gets the closest wins. 2: Play the chug the bottle game. Fill a bunch of baby bottles with whatever beverage you choose and have the guests race with each other chugging the bottle. 3: Get different jars of baby food and tear off the labels and number the jars so you can keep track on a different paper what the foods are. Pass around the different foods to the guests and have them write down what they think the foods are on a piece of paper and the one with the most right wins. Hope it helps. My friend at work threw me an awesome one! The coolest thing she did was make a worksheet where everyone wrote down their guesses on the birth date, height, weight, eye color, etc. and at the bottom there was a place for them to write advice and best wishes for baby and I. Also, she had a place at the top of the sheet for everyone to fill out there name and address - and at the end of the party I had a whole booklet to keep, and all the addresses I needed for Thank You notes! Awesome!
She also filled a baby bottle with M&M's and we all guessed how many were in it - the winner got a prize!

Games:
1) Get a roll of toilet paper, and have everyone estimate the length needed to fit around mom's waist. (everyone tears off their piece, then mom measures). Whoever's the closest wins a prize.
2)Get about 5 or 6 different flavours of chocolate bars, and melt them separately. Put the melted bars in 5 or 6 diapers (yes it looks like baby doo-doo) and have everyone mark down which chocolate bar is in which numbered diaper. This one is always a hit and get lots of laughs.
3) Fill a baby bottle with safety pins and have everyone guess how many are in there.
4)Have everyone bring baby pictures, and then have them guess who's who.
5)Go to a craft store and get tiny little miniature babies, and put them in ice cube trays and cover them with water, and freeze them. When everyone gets to the shower, give them each a cup with one ice cube. Whoever's baby's "water breaks" first gets the prize.
6)Make a baby-related word scramble.

at mine we took a piece of paper and put it on top of our heads, then we had to draw the best baby we could. the person who did the best won a prize. it was really fun everybody was laughing....
we also had diapers made from felt, one of them had peanut butter and mustard or something in it, and then cotton stuffed inside of them, whoever picked the one with the poo won a prize. You can get little mini safety pins to hod them together and make it look like a cloth diaper...
you could do a word scramble with different baby themed words.
then of course there is guessing the size of her belly with a string..
or you can put chocolate bars in diapers and number each one, then have everyone guess what kind of chocolate bar each is..

games i did this at my friends baby shower , Get pink or blue ribbon ask the guests to show you where to cut the ribbon exactly the size they think is her belly and then each and every guest has to put it around her belly to see if it fits who ever is the closest wins.
you can also get plastic saftey pins count them put them in a jar and have the guests write down how many the think that are in there.
