I just read a question on here about someone who was mad that black people moved into their neighborhood. I want to know why there are still people like this around. I don't know a whole lot of black people, it might just be the part of the country I'm from, but are they really that bad, or are some people just paranoid and ignorant? Any answers or comments would be appreciated. Thank you.

I think that being racist gives their lives some meaning.
Instead of having no life and no purpose, they instead set out to hate a grop of people so that they can validate their existance. This comes about as a result of fear and ignorance.
its a simple case of : "what I do not understand, I fear;
and What I fear, I hate"

They all think being a ghetto gangsta is cool. When they moved into our neighbourhood we had fights on the street with them being the antagonist. then we moved into a house with a black neighbour and their kids were stealing my sister's clothes from our backyard. being very noisy and climbing over our fence. You see, from experiences we have build up negative perception of them. And these perception are reinforced by the things we see in the media which eventually becomes beliefs. Once they become beliefs it will take great effort to change. I'm sure there are plenty of nice black people out there, I've just yet to meet one. Its a bit like first impressions, when you met a person you immediately have a generalised view of them. and when you already have a negative view you will not make the effort to know them. I hope I'm not being racist here but thats just my opinion.

Would'nt it be nice if there wern't racist people. Not just about African Americans, but for Mexicans, Chinese, Japanese, etc. It is awful to make someone feel bad for their race. And why? Does it make them feel better? I'm white, but it seems like most racist people are white, and old! Which is also stupid. The truth is though that there is alot of racist people all around. We all encounter them every day, weather we know it or not.

Racist people are ignorant, there is good and bad in every race. Racism is learned behavior, therefore it is being perpetuated and it will never end.
We mainly ignore them, most Black people could care less what a white person thinks of them. It is funny, because while they are hating us, we could give less than a damn about them.

in my opinion its an inherited trait. It must be taught, no one is born a racist!

becasue they don't learn from history! (ignorant people that is, not black people.) they should all BURN! >=] (again, the ignorant people!)
