Hello,

I'm a native English speaker and am interested in learning Vietnamese. Is there a good school or program in Vietnam where I can learn Vietnamese?

I am a complete beginner and have no background in the language.

speaking from experience, you can trade your time as a native english speaker for vietnamese lessons.
when i am in vietnam, i live in a fairly small town. my wife's former english teacher is always asking me to spend time reading to her class. the vietnamese have as much trouble pronouncing english words as we have pronouncing vietnamese.
after class we usually sit and drink iced coffee and she teaches me vietnamese at a basically elementary level. i've found it to be more helpful than trying to memorize words and phrases.
if you're going to be staying in a large city or town, you'll have even more opportunities because english language schools are extremely popular. there are literally hundreds of them in saigon.
you can always hire an english speaking vietnamese tutor for private lessons very cheaply but you'll make more friends and have more fun helping the vietnamese students. their pronunciation will make you laugh as much as yours will make them. it's a great time.
su may man!
