Yes, no method is 100% effective. Even with getting procedures like a tubal ligation (getting your "tubes tied") is not 100%. Even when you combine methods (i.e. using condoms and a hormonal birth control), it is still possible (though unlikely) to become pregnant. Depending on the method and type of birth control you're using, the effectiveness varies. Many hormonal methods these days are 99.9% effective. Check out the link in my sources box to look at different birth control methods and their effectiveness.

A less obvious problem with birth control pills, the FDA is finding they are not as effective now compared to 20 years ago.
That 99.9% is somewhat lower now.
Combining methods is best and protects you more. Pills + Condums not only protects against pregnancy, but also gives you a leg up on STD's and Cancer of the cervix.

i myself am residing info you will get pregnant on start administration. Im 18 and that i married my husband in March of this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. I even have been on start administration or maybe the shot in the final 9 months (it lingers on your equipment a protracted time) besides, right here i'm 5 weeks pregnant. it incredibly is not a one hundred% effective regrettably technology will never trump mom nature. if your indications persist, pass on your wellbeing practitioner and exhibit your concerns.

Yes and she is my 16 year old niece. My sister was taking antibiotics for something and well, whoops. Many things can affect the potency of your bcp... even something like losing or gaining weight. If you think you may be pregnant, take a pg test. They are fairly cheap. Is your period late?
