Preludes are known for burning oil, the rings rarely last 100,000 miles on one. Things you can do:
1) Get a ring job.
2)Try a high mileage oil for a few oil changes, see if it doesn't slow it down
3) move to a higher weight oil, but you will suffer power/fuel economy wise
If it were me I would just leave it alone, buy oil in bulk and top off whenever a quart low. My corolla burns a quart every 1000 miles, I drive 1000 miles in 2 weeks, so every 2 weeks I add a quart.

I hate to say it yet even on the dealership the oil change guy is often not a qualified technician.better than probably then overfilled or crammed the engine with something incorrect, this happens. I worked at a dealership the position the oil and transmission fill hoses the position magnificent proper next to eachother and in case you grabbed the incorrect one and weren't paying interest, you ought to actual fill the motorcar up with tranny fluid. is this what occurred in you case? probable not, yet you not in any respect understand. yet operating at a dealership i will grant you with the following pointers to make your case a touch better sturdy. ok heres what to do: a million. Make contact with the dealership once available and tell them the region. verify you record who you talk with and what time you pronounced as. 2.do not flow the motorcar and take images of each thing and record each thing. Take the dipstick out and take a image of the oil element. Take a image of and extra oil or something that looks sloppy. via doing this you may educate that the issue wasn't regarding you driving it difficult or etc. 3. Have it towed again to the position you had the artwork finished. convey all the maintnance information to educate you've dealt with it and that the motorcar had no issues before they touched it. 4. verify you flow again with the guy to look on the motorcar. verify they don't sparkling or do something to it. 5. really do not leave till you get your engine paid for. Honda's do purely not "die" and seventy 4,000 miles except you redline it everywhere you flow. try to be in for a difficult time regardless of the indisputable fact that it appears like the dealership is contained in the incorrect, so stand agency and do not purchase their bull. solid success! i'd be rooting for you!

I'll be honest, I've never taken apart a "normal" engine, so I don't know how hard it is to replace the rings, but thats what you want to do. Or, burn the Honda and get an RX-7, that way its normal to burn oil and you won't feel bad about your car burning oil. Actually, you might start worrying about not burning enough oil!

Try some high mileage oil along with a quart of Lucas Oil Conditioner. If that doesn't suit you roll up your sleeves and put a used engine in or overhaul your own motor.

Try using a can of "Restore" available at any parts store for a few small bucks. It will work if the oil loss is from the cylinder.
