i'd like to be able to sit & listen to a book or story being read to me,,i have bad eye sight

I love audiobooks. I usually get them from my public library on cassette or CDs. You can buy them from bookstores or online from Amazon etc. You can rent them by mail from companies like Books on Tape http://www.booksontape.com/.

There are some websites where you can download free audio recordings of old books which are in the public domain. One of them is LibriVox http://librivox.org/.

You can buy an audio book and download it to your computer and listen a player supplied by the site. I bought few books from them.

I don't know of any web sites, but, the local library has books on cassette, as well as compact disk.
