Is it safe to break up the credit card numbers and send it over multiple emails?

For the most part, yes. It's a lot safer than sending the card number all at once. The chances that 2 or 3 separate e-mails
containing the number will be intercepted are very slim. A better option is to simply go to a secure website to pay for something, or just call the number in. But, this option is also safe. Really.
