How do you pick the right car?

Well first off you have to find a price range that you think you can afford, say $14,000, then you can go to different websites and look at different kinds to see what you think you might like. Then after you find a few models that look good, go to the dealers, test drive them. Things you need to look for: does the seat feel comfy? does the steering wheel adjust where it feels good on your arms? does the ac and heat work? does the defrost and radio/cd player all the gadgets work? are there any noises in the otor or brakes, muffler, etc when driving it? Does it handle well? I would test drive a bunch of them before making your mind up, what you do is give the dealer salesman your name and phone number, leave, and a few days later they will call you because they want the sale, and drop the price. Negotiate a fair deal on your trade in car, go to the Kelly Blue Book website and check the value of your car before you have them rate it, if the car is new great you get a warrantee, if it's not, I would purchase the extended warrantee 3-4 years until your loan is paid off cause it covers all the big expenses.

I got a used car and didn't get the extended warrantee, the motor blew, got a different one put in, the timing chain blew, then it was the water pump, then a/c and one thing after another, I learned the hard way!

I also wound up with a car the steering wheel didn't adjust and I didn't know it right away until my arms were aching really bad every day and I realized the problem so make sure the car fits you, it's comfy!

1. Find one that has good safety ratings. 2/3 of teens have their first accident within 6 months of getting their liscence
2. Find one that's cheap, but cool
3. Find one that won't be stolen in two months, or get a good security system
