It's the story of four guys: "everyone", "someone", "anyone", and "no one". An important task has to be done, we asked "everybody" to work on it. "Everybody" was assured that "someone" will do it. "Anyone" could have done it, but " no one" did it. "Someone" was mad cause he considered that this task was the responsibility of "everyone". "Everyone" thought that "any one" could have done it, but "no one" did see that "everyone" is not going to do it. In the end "everyone" was BLAMING "someone" that "no one" did a work that "anyone" could have done. LAMARTINE
The text I have is in french, hope it is a good translation, anyway, you got the point.

That doesn't mean that people who do wrong can't see it...it simply means that people who do wrong choose to do so. We are all taught right from wrong....we all make choices. Socrates was saying that a moral man, who is taught, and learns, right from wrong, should, as a moral creature, do good.
He was speaking ONLY of personal choice...not the law. The death sentence is a societies penalty for a crime. It is "law"....It is not one mans interpretation of what is morally right. It does not come to bear under Socrates statement.
Given Socrates good does good, then yes, a god could judge a man on the basis of his actions. After all, in any religion, there is a set of rules...a set of god given do's and don'ts that make up a moral code for that religion. If you are aware of them, learn them, know them...and choose to act against them, then, you can be judged by your actions.

socrates also stated "wisest is he who knows he knows nothing"
anyway who are we really to judge what is right or wrong - yes we have morals and laws that we live by but really this is just a way to keep society in order and people happy..... maybe the "bad" events will make more people happy in the long run... does that make it bad?? no i don't think murdering is right though.... some people do things that they know are wrong for many reasons such as financial gain....they could follow a different path and choose not to do this wrong thing.

Well, yes. But that doesn't mean that a person who doesn't know any better than to follow the wrong path is actually right.
Just because a serial killer doesn't believe he is doing anything wrong doesn't mean it's okay.

Going by your logic, any kind of punishment is a crime against the dispenser of justice. If we didn't punish criminals, what would stop people from going around committing crimes?
