I'll go with a video game because some systems can also play music like the x box, x box 360, ps2/3. Wouldn't u want a thing that does both?

I would go with video game system only if you can play online. If you don't have dsl to play online forget it. Get a stereo only if you are going to put it loud.

Well since I have both, I like to play a game while listening to the radio, or a CD. The ingame music is sometimes terrible, so I overshadow it with the music. For example, when I play Okami, I listen to music, because there is no voice acting, and I don't need to hear anything. But with the Wii you can stay fit by using the controllers.
