If he avoids the question all the time l'm sorry to say it but l feel that he either does not love you or he loves someone else more. As far as " would he stay with me if he's not happy " the answer to that is, definitely if he has nowhere else to go or if you have children together, that could possibly keep him around. As l don't know the two of you l could be totally wrong, so l would suggest you speak to him about it and tell him you need him to be totally honest with you. Be prepared for his answer though as it may not be what you want to hear. I wish you the best of luck.

What was he like when you were dating him and he asked you to marry him? Was he able to tell you then but not now? Does he show his love in other ways, such as doing things for you or buying you little things. Besides not being able to tell you he loves you, is he able to show you affection? If this is all new behavior, it's probably time for some marriage counseling to get to the root of it. If it's new behavior and you've told him it bothers you that he won't tell you he loves you, and he can't/won't give any kind of explanation and still continues to remain aloof, he could be deriving some perverse enjoyment from hurting your feelings. If he won't go with you for counseling, go without him. If this is the way he's been from the first time you met him, it just may not be possible for him to express his feelings comfortably and you may have to look for what other ways he expresses his feelings for you. Women often need to hear expressions of love more than men do. A lot depends on whether this is new behavior or not.

He just may have a hard time expressing himself like this.... He loves you as i am sure he shows you in many ways... Some men are not good with words but better with actions and deeds.. Love him where he is at and you show and tell him all the time how much you love him and someday he just may surprise you and say I love you too! he stays with you because he does love you very much!

Maybe it's time to let him know that you've noticed that he never answers your question and he avoids it and you want to know why?
Maybe he sees it as a silly question, like would I not be married to you if I didn't love you?
But between women, there are no silly questions and ask away.

Some men and women don't see the need to tell the one they love 'I Love You'.
If he didn't love you would he still be there?
Does he treat you right?
You should say I love you (unconditionally) and not expect him to say it back,
Has he always been like this??
Everyone is different

That's kind of weird but I think that he's the type who would rather show it. If he doesn't show it, then it's time to have a different kind of talk. Ask him what's up.

Some people don't like to say I love you. But talk to him. Ask him how he feels.

Some people have a hard time saying it and I don't know why.Does he show it to you? That is what is important.I would stay and talk to him and let him know that you need to hear it also.If he wasn't happy I am sure you would know.

You husband sounds like he might have trouble talking about his feelings. My ex was like that with me for alot of years. I had to take it for granted that he loved me.
