just wonderin what might be out for the wii channels, wouldnt it be nice if there were a DVD channel or a Music channel (like iTunes) where all you have to do is just put in the CD/DVD in the wii slot and it will play it for you??

A majority of the extra channels on your Wii are for games that you've downloaded for the Virtual Console.

They could be, nobody knows excpet Nintendo.
The channels that are out now are the News Channel, Forecast Channel, and the Internet Channel.

nintendo will be releasing a wii that plays dvds, but only in japan. i have a feeling nintendo is working on firware update that will allow us to play dvds in the wii. the music channel is possible but i dont think it would go over to well if you have to buy songs and youd only be able to listen to them on your wii when you can already do that with finetune. check it out: http://www.finetune.com
go there and make your own playlists and then head over to http://www.finetune.com/wii and you can access your music on the wii
