I'm really confused.

you split the image into rectangles and triangles

then you use their respective measures and their corresponding area formulas to find out individual area measures

finally you add them together

triange = (base x height)/2

rectangle = length x width

Divide them up into regular figures that you can calculate the area for (rectangles and triangles, generally). In this case, draw a horizontal line across from the tip of the "wedge" in the base. Then you have a 64m x 31m rectangle and two triangles.

Now this particular one's a bit sneaky, since the "wedge" part at the bottom could happen anywhere and the triangles to the left and right of it have unknown base width. You could let one have width x and the other have width 64-x, find the areas and add them up. If you did this (correctly!) you'd find that x cancels out.

However, there's a sneakier and more efficient way to do it. Instead of dividing the region up into a rectangle and two triangles, draw in a line from the bottom-left corner to the bottom-right corner. Now the area you want is represented as a big (64m x 58m) rectangle, MINUS a triangle which has base width 64m and perpendicular height (58-31) = 27 m.
So the total area is (64 * 58) - (1/2)(64)(27) = 2848 m^2.

you can use graphical method for finding the area of irregular figures . counting the the whole boxes and partial boxes and summing up them . u need a scale for this.
or u can go for image scanning sofwares

Don't worry my last girlfriend had an irregular figure,one breast was bigger than the other.Either was great though.

it's just two parallelograms. separate it into figures that you recognize and know how to find the area of.
