My boyfriend has a laptop that is so loud! When you turn it off, it's so quiet!! Anyway, the inside and the fan are very clean. His desk/computer are never really that hot so what could we do to help tone down this monster?

My dad's a computer whiz and he said there's nothing wrong with the fan... Could it be the computer is just loud?

Change the fan, its on power supply or change entire power supply . New fan is about $5 a power supply due to space configuration is special on some of those and costs a bundle. Remove the fan and take it to computer store for exact match. No soldering at all, just a plug and couple screws.

Well, Its not the computer, And Its not anything around the computer. Its the fan. When he got the laptop it must of had a bad fan In it. Unless your a computer whiz, Go somewhere to buy a new old and replace it.

Buy a new one, maybe the wings are not align anymore or the fan's component has wear off.

maybe go into bios and mess with temperature settings which should affect how the fan runs

laptop are crap bin it and stick with the desktop
