who she claims to be "in love" with. Well, now she doesn't speak to me at all. I didn't tell her to stop seeing the guy. I didn't threaten to tell her husband nor did I speak ill of the guy she was cheating with or of her. It's just that I didn't approve and didn't offer my support. I miss her now that we're not talking, but have learned that she is friends only with people when it is convenient for her. I guess that makes her a user of sorts. Was I wrong for not offering her support in cheating on her husband? Should I have joined the team of supporters and cheered her on as she broke her marriage vows or was it okay that I stood firm for what I believe is right?

I think you did the right thing for standing up for what you believe. You as a friend, expressed YOUR true opinion. Friends don't necessary agree on every thing. Don't feel guility or upset. You did the right thing by having YOUR opinion. You didn't tell her what she "wanted to hear". Call her up, tell her, I sure have missed talking with you and was wondering how you have been. I would skip asking about her personal relationships with the b/f and the husband. Suggest lunch sometime. It may take time for your friendship to bond back.........but if she is a TRUE friend, it will eventually repair itself.

Are you really asking if it is okay to stand up for your own beliefs? In what way could it be wrong? You lose the friendship of a disgusting sleezeball? Well, there's that.
