no youth isnt wasted on the young because it is their innocent nature that allows them to enjoy the wonders of youth.
can you imagine giving youth to the old? you wouldnt try new things because you'd spend to long evaluating the risks involved. that is why they say "you cant teach an old dog new tricks"
truth is you dont lose your youth...... you just stop doing things that are youthful because you learn how risky they are.
a skateboarder doesnt hit 21 and become old, the skateboarder turns 21 and says wow those stunts could really hurt me and i dont feel like being hurt today.....therefore they set their skateboard aside for safer more mature activities.
it all goes back to the saying....."IF YOU DONT USE IT, YOU LOSE IT"
