I read somewhere that taking lecithin supplements orally is useless because it all breaks down in the intestines before it can reach the bloodstream. Is this true? I just spend $5 for a bottle of 100 capsules! Nooo.

try granular lecithin..available at whole food stores and coops. Very inexpensive..add in to smoothies, applesauce, peanut butter and such.

Take a pound of butter and blend it with a good oil like olive extra virgin or cold pressed canola (2 cups), a little dry milk, and about three tbs or so of granular lecithin and it makes a good tasting spread that is much more mono and unsaturated fat and spreadable. Try to use organic butter if you can to avodd antibiotics and hormones.

You might try opening the capsules with a pin and putting in a little oil and taking from a spoon and letting it swish around your mouth and absorb into the bloodstream that way or even rub it on a fatty part of the skin as it will absorb through the skin.

Not true. Extensive medical evidence confirms the clinical effectiveness of oral supplementation of lecithin (phosphatidylcholine).
