I think that every citizen has this responsiblity.

In Illinois, the science learning standard #13 says that scientists have a social responsibility to make sure that they are helpful and not harmful to society. To stand by quietly when we know that something wrong is happening is the same thing as agreeing with what is happening.

Anyone in any profession, science, journalism, the military, etc. with knowledge of governmental lies, crimes or deception has a moral and legal obligation to speak the truth. Censorship exists in this country, as evidenced by the collusion between this administration and most of the traditional information sources, regarding the sale of the Iraq war. Professional, knowledgeable people are speaking up, they just aren't found on CNN or Fox or the networks.

if this is in regards to what the US is doing to the world starting with the 2000 'election' and 9/11 'terrorist attack' and now the fight for oil..i mean freedom in iraq...then yes. yes they do
