The 6 PM news said there was no drugs or alcohol in her system but because of her speed the family of the dead girl were going to prosecute for involuntary manslaughter which could carry up to one year in jail

That is not true. There are no indications that she was drunk. If there was the charges would be more severe. She is looking at up to year in jail.
