everyone has their own smell....
my question is why do people feel inclinded to bath in perfume/colonge to cover up "their" smell?
perfume/cologne doesn't smell natural
...yet natural = stink?
I like to smell nice, I have plenty of perfumes and body splashes...but is it really necessary?...
why are people offended by natural odors.
In Europe (i've read), people aren't as 'hygiene crazy' as Americans. They just smell like themselves, and it's socially acceptable.
What would we do if cover up's werent available on the market?
I ask this because personally I'm hygiene crazy; and I have to make sure I smell good before stepping out the house....I just don't understand why lol...
i know weird question lol...
But I appreciate unique personal smells, because I know everyone is unique and we all don't smell the same.
*im not talking about foul odors...just odors :) *

okay...let me put it like this
natural odors don't smell bad...
(i'm not talking about foul odors)
I think if you eat healthy, take care of yourself you have a natural pleasant smell...
I don't know about you but if i'm physically healthy I naturally smell nice..
therefore...why do people feel inclined to bath in perfumes, instead of just plainly taking care of their bodies naturally?
People spend ALOT of money on cover ups? why?

I thing its because of how we are advertised to. With the tag commersials and different shampoos and after shaves, (you get my point) we are blinded to the fact that we have unique smells.
I too have my cologne and body wash and shampoo, etc., but you do have a great point. People arn't offended by natural odors. That's what naturally makes us distinct. A great way to remember someone is by their scent....only becuase our sense of smell "sticks" in our memory. And with all these commercial products, its hard to tell who is who (that may sound bad).
But if we didn't have cover ups, in my opinion, we would be better off. I mean our personal odors are distinct to us, and is part of who we are.
So to answer you question, i believe it's all in the advertising.

Its a cultural thing. In the US that natural odor is offensive, but in other coutries its not. I've been to Germany, France and Austria and even though there are many there that do where the perfumes and colonge, there are alot who are just funky. They also don't bathe as often as we do. I had some german friends that just couldn't believe that I took a shower twice a day and thought that was so strange. And recently I spent a year in the middle east and there are people there that smell so bad it brought tears to my eyes.

very own Hygiene and cleanliness. i won't be able to stay an afternoon without taking a tub, this is only disgusting. I continuously smell sturdy. My mom cleans the clothing each and all the time,i take advantage of perfumes and each thing -.- God I had this baby in my classification.. He stinked. He and his total family contributors even admitted that they do no longer take showers,or that they take showers only as quickly as each and every week,on saturday, and that they do no longer use cleansing soap.WTF?! I ought to comb my tooth...first subject I do as quickly as I awaken is circulate to the bathe and brush my tooth together as taking the bathe XD Are you specific approximately others hygiene and cleanliness (family contributors, acquaintances and/or people you take care of on a frequently happening foundation)...? definite.they ought to be completely sparkling! XD Do you get aggravated truthfully with different peoples hygiene? (might additionally want to incorporate - throughout hygiene and cleanliness, head to toe, and mouth) while persons are grimy and circulate 'i did no longer take a tub for 2 days' i do no longer likely care.as long as they smell sturdy this is okay to me,yet better than 2 days of no longer taking a tub is gross. i admire while persons are continuously sparkling, head to toe sparkling.

It's just like a set of fake boobies. Men don't want to settle for a set of floppy B cups when they can get D cups. So they don't want to smell live stock when they can smell roses. Sure it's not natural but nothing we do is natural. God intended us to mate in the proper missionary position yet, the media has thrust upon us this idea that we have to sodomize each other by doing it "doggie" style, in the other orifices and even with animals. We (the media) have pushed the envelope and now there is this big loose flapping whole that needs to be filled because we have opened it up way too wide for way too long. That's why we need to wear perfume!

I think the answer would be... Social conditioning and marketing.
If you think about times past, those with $$$ were able to bathe more frequently, therefore that was a social indicator of affluence. This has been perpetuated and marketed to be an expectation of social responsibility!
Ahh The geniuses behind that must be rolling in it! :)

Because it's unpleasant to stand beside someone who smells like they haven't bathed in months.
And people really should practice natural hygiene maintenance rather than covering it up with artificial scents.
