The Lord of the Rings. The book is well-written; it has an original and engaging plot; there are deep messages and lessons; and its a great inspiration for writing fantasy novels. :)

Well, since I read so much I never really have a true favorite book. But, I would have to say that the Harry Potter books are my favorites right now because I'm still waiting for the last one so I keep rereading the first 6.
But, now that I'm thinking about it, My favorite book would have to be Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli. It just touched me because I could relate to this strange girl that was so real yet totally misunderstood. It was just a really good read, short too.

Tough question. Easiest first. My favourite at this moment is "Human Types" by Susan Zannos, Samuel Weiser. I read it years ago and have used it as study material for the last year when teaching English as a second language. Every time I dip into it I learn something new or remember something that I had forgotten. It is the one I have given as a personal gift most often. The one my wife and I have liked most as a couple and given most often as a gift is "Mutant Message Down Under" by Marlo Morgan. The one that changed my life direction most is a toss-up between the Carlos Casteneda series and the Jane Roberts series beginning with "Seth Speaks". For children, young and old, Abraham-Hicks Publications have a very powerful series of three called Sara 1-2-3. Originally Sara 1 was known as "Sara and the Foreverness of Friends of a Feather" and I like it because it has the potential of teaching any reader a fantastic ability to be joyous. Answering this question has helped me to be grateful for all of them so Thank You !

My favorite book is "She Who Runs on Waves" by Alexander Grin. It is a relatively short novel, easy to read and it leaves me with the feeling of being refreshed. The plot is pretty unpredicteable and I like that too. I like the message that the life is complicated and simple at the same time. The happiness is right next to you, you just need to follow your path and trust your instincts.

My favorite book would have to be Blackbird, it was absolutely amazing, and terribly heartbreaking. The tales of suicide and death made me reflect on the ugliness of life, and then the advantages of having a life. It inspired me to follow my dreams and not let small things get in the way of my dreams.

Wuthering Heights because it is about how personal misery and failure is often a choice that we choose for ourselves. We make our own hell by taking ourselves so seriously, refusing to let go and move on, and insisting on revenge for what we perceive to be our righteous indignation.
