Ya know, I do kinda feel bad for the guy because in games that didn't matter and he was playing bad, they were calling for his head. I think that one of the Bears, I think it might have been Urlacher, that said "We went 14-3 with him as our starter, it doesn't matter what did it, he's still 14-3" or something like that, and the record speaks for itself, whether it's the D or not, he still lead them to the Super Bowl, and even by the NFC Championship game, they were still asking them to pull him, I just can't wait for him to whoop up on them so they can shut up. I think that Peyton'll have a greater game than him, but don't count out Grossman, that'll be a great story. Although, if he has a great game, they'll still say that it was the D that won it. Poor Grossman, can't catch a fricken break

I don't even think a performance like the one that you described would shut these critics up. He's had great games before- VERY great games. But the four-game streak of 0-TD and 11-Int really hurt the public opinion of him, and they know that he is more than capable of losing a game for da Bears, even if he wins them, too.
He's not criticized for being bad, it's for his inconsistency. One game -even a SB- does NOT make a consistent QB. He'll still face the same critics next season, no matter what he does on Sunday.
And yes, I feel very bad for Rex. He's been drawing flak, while Peyton (with an equally shoddy playoff record this season) is getting a free pass.
It kinda reminds me of that one Saints cornerback, who everyone mocked before the Bears game. They said that he was the weak link, gave up the long TDs... what do you know? He goes out on the field, and proves everyone right by letting Berrian walk all over him. I hope that Rex wont suffer the same fate.

Rex has been playing in system which is QB unfriendly - the we're going to run a lot if we can, pass only if necessary, system.
Also, the two playoff wins (WINS!) have been played in borderline freezing, wet, windy - passing unfriendly - weather. He's played amazing for the conditions in the playoffs well this season. I have not heard analysts give him the credit he deserves.
I see him playing well in Miami. He played his college ball in Florida - welcome home, Rex!
Peyton's playoffs stats have sucked, if anything, I see there being much more pressure on Manning to carry his team.

yeah that would be cool to see, and impossible. the only thing thats gonna keep the bears in it is their defense, just as it has all year. but i believe that the team with the best QB will win, and thats peyton manning. it would be nice to see grossman shut the critics, but thats impossible, the critics are right.

provided that while is Rex Grossman good? He throws INTs each sport, he losses fumbles, and whilst he has an arm, he has destructive determination making or perhaps worse accuracy. shop residing on your dream worldwide.

I feel bad for Rex, because he is so inconsistent with the passing game. I think he has huge potential to be a really good quaterback, i just dont think he has been coached that well within that position(hire a new QB coach). I think in a few years, he will be up there with peyton manning, carlson palmer, and other great QB's. He has a good stance in the pocket, good arm. He just needs to work on accuracy and reading the defence faster and more accurately. In my own opinion, i really think he needs a new QB coach, but i think that this super bowl will be a close one. It is really hard to say whether he will shut up the critics THIS year because of his inconsistentcy, so i will just say that in the next couple of years(with a new QB coach) he will defintely shut them up. Just give him time, ........and a new QB coach...lol

as a bears fan all my life, id would love to see that happen
as a realist I'm inclined to say that Rex is due for a bad game. as well as Payton is due to chock if that happens
then I'd go with the better d-fence.which would be......
DA-BEARS!!!!!
