He might have allergies. Try a cool mist vaporizor or Vicks Baby Rub.
When he starts teething, he will drool A LOT!! If you feel his gums, they may feel kinda soft and mushy too.

Teething is very interesting, it brings on many different signs and symptoms... a cold like symptom is very common. He doesn't necessarily have to be cranky to be teething either, this could be the end of the process where the gums have already cut. I wish you the best.

Until all of your baby's teeth comes in, he is teething.
If you are concerned it is a cold, you can take him to the doc
A runny nose might be an allergy

I am having similar problems, I'm not sure what to tell you but I just had a response to someone else's answer. A response recommended the use of Vicks baby rub, I just wanted to let you know to be sure and check and see if it is safe for your child's age. I was told if you use it when your child is young, it can cause breathing problems. Just a heads up to check; it may be safe to use at that age! Good luck!
