For the last month I've been feeling like i have a faint cramping in my abdomen. I've been taking the pill for 6 months and have had no problems with it. The cramping is not more than a 3 out of 10. My period is normal and nothing has changed as far as my diet. Am I experiencing side effects of a ovarian cyst?

mmm maybe, usually if it's an ovarian cyst, it's on one side or the other really low in the pelvic area. Ovarian cysts usually rank higher on the pain scale.

Could it be gas, constipation, bowel movement? It could be many things. If you are really worried and the pain increases the best thing to do is see a doctor.

Possibly but no way to tell for sure without a pelvic exam or an ultrasound. I would go to your gyn and see. I have polycystic ovarian syndrome so I get numerous cysts on my ovaries. If they rupture the pain will intencify and then your abdomen will be sore for a few days. An ovaian cyst is generally a really dull annoying ache around your ovary and lower abdomen usually made worse by bending over and sometimes when you walk. Generally they will go away on their own in 2-4 weeks. My gyn gave me some pain meds one time when the pain was bad.
