Taking memory space, lifetime of the unit itself, and lifetime of the battery (as in how many times would the battery be able to be recharged before it has to be replaced.) into account. Thank you!

The batteries are both the same on them but the nano dies faster because it has a screen. That is the only difference.

we bought our daughter the i Pod Nano and she really likes hers I think she recharges hers every night after using it all day. It seems to work satisfactory.

Nano. I prefer my mp3 players to have screens.

I'd say nano because it has a screen and my friend has one and she loves it
