I know some gays who ostracize the bis in the community, I don't think it's fair.
One of the arguements I have heard from lesbian friends against bi women is that they have the male boyfriend/husband to present to the world and use women just for getting off, either with their boyfriends or not. I disagree, because while some bisexual women may be like that, I have known others that only have relationships with women, or have been compltely faithful to their partners, regardless of the gender.

Sometimes, but so do some straights! And we bisexuals can find allies in both groups, too.
To re-interpret a quote from Kate Clinton, a biphobic lesbian comedian, some people wouldn't say the word "bisexual" if their mouth was full of one.

well for me it is all personal stuff, when i was younger and i found out i was gay i didnt want to accept it so the only alternative i had was to make myself believe i was bisexual. Now when someone tells me he/she is bi i cant help myself but thinking that they are doing what i did.

Not at all. I am gay, and while I can't at all see myself with a woman, I will not judge others who have a different preference. I do not know how they feel.

My teenage son is gay, and he is very offended by the guys who walk around spouting "Bi Pride"....he said it's just bis trying to fit in with gays.

I would find that rather hilariously ironic, since they're always saying other people should be open-minded. If they themselves were truely open-minded as they think they are they would be bi and not gay.

no, not necessarily. but I have known (and currently know) a few people who said they were bi but were only ever happy dating the same gender... so, not sure they were truly "bi."
