Nothing much....you'll just be able to *keep* the five minutes you would have wasted on the Chain Letter and used it for something worthwhile. :)
And....once you get familiar with the format of your typical Chain Letter, you can even just delete the thing mostly unread because you will recognize the thing for what it is on the first line. Which will save you even more time. :)) *lol*
So my advice is.....save your time for stuff you wanna do. Don't waste any more of it on Chain Letters and Other Spam than absolutely needed. Thanks for your time!

Nothing will happen. Trust me, I don't even look at them. I just click and delete, although I send it on sometimes. I just email all my friends and say, "Don't send any more chain mail to me!" and elaborate so they don't start emailing you back about why. I hate those things. My really dumb friend actually believes them.

Nothing but ugh they're so annoying I just delete them right away so I don't feel guilty about opening them and then not replaying.

it should tell you at the bottom...something like "you will never get another date again if you don't spam this out to 500 people in the next 10 minutes
