and married someone who was allergic to it, would you get rid of the pet?

Hmmm... tough. I think if the person I married is a very good man, then I'd rather pick the man before the pet. I'll be sure to give the pet a good home. ^__^

if they were like deadly allergic i would maybe considering having a family member hold onto it. im very allergic to dogs but my parents went out and got one any way the day before thanksgiving, ive been sick and all stuffed up since but i wouldnt get rid of my dog so if i can handle the itchy eyes and bad break outs im sure my loved one would be able to.

i would probably break off the relationship before it got to marriage if that someone had a problem w/ my pet

Nope. Cat left one guy because he told her to 'get rid of G.D. cat' - after he'd asked her to move in. Cat left, and TOOK HIS CAR when she did. (gave it back later, but really enjoyed the scare it gave him!)
