Yes. once a year or so. Because I have so often been disappointed by new books I try to read. They seem an absolute waste of time. So I go back to the tried and true. They become old friends that are a pleasure to renew.

Yes I do. It depends on how much I liked it and if I own the book or not. I've read most books I really enjoyed at least twice, there are a few that I've read about 3-4 times. I re-read them because normally I cannot get my hands on another new book at the time, and I know I'm sitting down for a good read already or it's been awhile since I read the story and I'm in the mood to read it again.

YES, I love to reread my favorites. It's very relaxing. I probably read an old favorite about once every 6 mo. Some of my old favorites are A Tree Grows in Brooklyn (which I am rereading now. I think this is the third time I have read it. I read it for the first time about a decade ago.),Christy, The Blue Bottle Club, No Promises in the Wind, Hail, Hail Camp Timberwood, and The Lord of the Rings Trilogy( which I have read about 10 times in the past 10 years or so.), The Day of the STorm, and a Gown of Spanish Lace.

I've read almost every book I've ever loved at least twice. There are some that I've read half a dozen times or more. There are a few that I've read 10-15 times. (For example, I've read The Shining every October since I was 14, because it puts me in the mood for Halloween.)

Every time I reread a book, I find something new to love about it, I have a deeper understanding of the characters and the story, and I am often reading it with a slightly different perspective or worldview. Reading Jane Eyre in my 20s had more of an emotional impact on me than when I first read it at 16, because at 16 I had never been in love and never had my heart broken.

Yes, I do reread favorite books.

There are 2 reasons.

First reason is that if the book is very interesting and complex, I like to reread it immediately to see if on the second reading, I understand how it works better.

The second reason is sometimes, my life is making me very nervous, and I feel I can't concentrate on something new, so I go back to something I have read before that I can easily get into - like returning to an old friend that you can just relax with instead of having to analyze what is going on.

My favorite books are the Chronicles of Narnia, and more specifically, the Silver Chair. I have read each book at least twice, and most of them at least three times. I have probably read the Silver Chair at least four times, because I love it so much. It has a great story and a great message. There's always something about it that is mildly creepy, and yet you are always sure that Aslan will save the day in the end.

I reread old favorites constantly, too many times to count. I just like getting into an old favorite that I don't have to concentrate too much on while I am reading but I can still enjoy getting back into the story.

I do. My favorites I have read at least three times, and some of them five times.
I like to find new details and ponder about them.
