At one year, my kids ate anything I ate. I would just cut it up into bite sized pieces. Everyone is amazed when my kids eat veggies and fruits. I wanted them to have more in their diet than chicken nuggets and hot dogs. My oldests favorite meal is roast pork with sweet potatoes and green beans. So I would feed them what ever you do. Plus it makes you eat healthier!

Feed him everything Natural.. Fruits Veggies, and a wide selection of those.. (meats that are ground up).. My son was eating with me at the dinner table around a year (I think).. He ate what we ate, and now he will eat anything,, from onions to liver... He likes it all...He's not a picky eater.. He eats whats given to him, and Now that he is almost 5, if given the choice between candy and fruit he goes for the healthy stuff,, The bottom drawer in the fridge is always kept full of those little fruit singles, apple sauce, and grapes, apples, and juice, (100% natural).. He helps him self when he wants to eat.. (dont get me wrong, he still likes the candy,, but its not his first choice in food... His older half sister is the exact oppisite, (she was raised on the junk, soda and sweets..). So Pick your foods that you feed him, Don't let him eat the junk, and he will be a healthy eater.

Mashed sweet potatoes. Cottage cheese. Oatmeal with flax seed. Yogurt without high fructose corn syrup. Our one son loved ground beef, sometimes sloppy joed up too. Those Kraft cheese crumbles are handy too, although not sure on their salt content.
