Looks like 14 is the youngest age you can start work in New York. Check out the link below for more information. All the information you need is under minimum age for employment. It lists guidelines, etc. Exceptions as listed you can start work at the age of 11. Good luck!

In most states it is fifteen to hold a part time job, but if you still have your minor status you can pretty much rule out everywhere except maybe McDonalds. The child labor laws which were put into place for your protection have so exceeded what they were designed to do that most employers will no longer higher minors because of the potential liabilities involved.
