I'd assume the top- unless somehow the tree has gotten turned upside down in which case it would be the bottom.

The "crown" is the part with leaves that you see if you were above the tree, like a bird. The crown goes all the way down to the lowest branch with leaves. So I would not count the crown as the highest point, but you might call it the top of the tree.

the farthest part from the ground. in other words yes the top. also known as the crown. or the apex. or the highest point on the fir tree.

it varys from tree to tree depending upon how tall it is.
