If people would actually listen to her politics rather than spouting whatever they heard on Fox News or whatever Christian news station they watch, they'd realize that her views are really very centrist. The only really left view she has is for universal health care, and what neo-conservatives wouldn't want free health care? I wish people would stop being so gullible and actually find out people's political views before making ignorant but popular statements about how much of a commie Clinton is.
Anywho, I love the idea of a woman president, and I really really love the idea of a president who doesn't pull the religion card at every possible opportunity. She's pro-choice, at least, and pro civil unions for gays, and represents the educated secular vote. That's why she should be president (or possibly Obama).

First off everyone needs to quit this nonsence. Don't punish her for her husbands acts. Obviously those of you complaining never read her biography. The link for it is in someone elses answers.
Anyone who can hold New York together after 9-11 has my confidence. She's also managed a budget and done quite well. She stood by her husband even afte what he did, and they remain friends. I find that honorable. Got an adopted kid? Ever wonder how laws were passed giving adopted kids insurance? That was Hillary. Getting a plan so that all New Yorkers have insurance, Hillary again.
Grow up everyone and read her accomplisments before you trash her. I think your all just scared because she is a women. Get out of the stoneages people! Women have the right to be anything they want to these days. Yes I will vote for Hillary. Yes I will spread the word of what she's done so far. And yes I look forward to seeing how she resolves this war.
If anyone can get us out of this crisis then I stongly feel she can and will. Hillary is a good person and people need to give her more credit. I cant stand Bush and will be happy to see him leave next year.

The divide in our country between conservatives and liberals is harming our ability to move forward. Although not Hillary's fault, she will make this rift even larger. The conservatives will paint her as a radical socialist who wants to regulate and raise taxes at every turn. The progressives will see this as a chance to push through a health care plan that will end up mostly being paid for by the post baby boom generations. She will also have to deal with the cleanup of Iraq and the bloody aftermath of a troop with-drawl. That will be a no win situation that she will be blamed for because it will be on her watch. Hillary has been very quiet on the war because she voted for it.
She has also been out of touch with everyday Americans for a long time. When was the last time she had a conversation with someone who wasn't fawning all over her. That's probably why it took Bush so long to realize Iraq was going so badly.
The next president is going to have some real obstacles to overcome and I think the baggage that Hillary brings with her will not be good for the country.
Personally I would like to see someone who is competent and has fresh ideas but most importantly willing to work with both sides.

Maybe. We've had one monarch...the Bushes...not sure the population would stand for another.
She's not my particular choice only because I'm not sure she could win. Is she qualified? Yes. Is she smart? Yes again. Is she likeable? Depends.
The Democratic fish bowl is full of fishes at the moment. Personally, while I didn't when he ran, I like Gore. I also like Edwards.
I worked on the Wes Clark campaign, and he'd be an excellent choice, but he simply doesn't have the will to win.
I think Obama is terrific, but he'll never win the south or the midwest. And I'm not sure he's had enough experience. Give him another 10 years and I'd vote for him any day.
I think the Democratic party has a unique opportunity to keep riding the tide here with a good, strong candidate who's not necessarily for the party, but for the people. Of course that's a dream, but....

Well, she's shown a propensity for weaseling her way out of trouble. Whitewater showed us that.
She's pretty good at circumventing rules to get what she wants. I liked how she set herself up for her NY Senate seat. That was class.
She has proven that crises won't deter her from what she wants.
She's pretty good at vacillating.
She is pretty good at self promotion.
I guess she'd be a pretty good president, if the men who held the office since Truman are any indication of what is required. Personally, my stomach does a slow roll when I think of any of the candidates we are being offered. This is the USA, the best country on earth. Don't we deserve better than these sad excuses for humanity to lead our country?

"Leader of the Free World" what a crock, no wonder the rest of the world resents america. as if a small part of the population of earth votes for the leader of the whole world. how democratic is that? It really does not matter who is president next it is only going to get worse. you can count on it.

hmm....some reasons why Hilary should become president? well that's easy there are NONE...and she is most certainly NOT better than Bush. The only way she will get elected is if a lot of stupid people who actually believe all her lies vote for her.

I think it is against the Humane socitity rules to talk bad against a dog comparing it to Bush.
But I am nost sure she may not be a fairly good president,
The only real issue is Bill as the first lady,

Her presidency will essentially be Bill Clinton's third term. If you liked Clinton, you'll be happy w/Hillary.
