I would give it to poor people. I would give it to someone who thinks there is no hope. $1000 is money to me , but I would rather someone have it where it could do the most good. It breaks my heart to think of someone that cant give their kids the things they want...........

I would randomly hand out $50 to individuals who made my day better. Sometimes even the smallest things should be commended.
Example, and this is a true story that happened to me while at work.
A man came in and asked if he could purchase one of our plastic bags. I told why pay for it when I'll just give it to you. He then told me to choose an outfit from the store. I said there was no need for that I was just happy that I could give him a hand with something. So I went about my business. I noticed him walk to the till and I thought he was just chatting with the other employees. After finishing up with the other customers I walked over and one of the employees presented me with a $100 certificate to the store from the man I had given the bag to. Anyways.......I thought that was an interesting story!!! I don't necessarily believe in Karma but it must have been at work that day!

I really like the idea of micro loans. Some banks lend $200 for sewing machine so a person can start their own business or $50 for a seeing eye dog so a person can get to or from work.
In developing countries these can really have an affect. I would use the $1000 to fund a organization to start something like that for single mothers or students or something like that.

i like the more people part of the question because if you donate the whole $1000.00 dollars to Saint Judes Childrens Hospital then you would be helping A LOT instead of just two. thats what i would do. donate it. why? because if i HAD to give it away i would want to give it to children with cancer so they could possibly get better and live a long prosperous life, that would mean more to me than $1000.00 or all the money in the world. dont you agree?

i would give half to a charity and the other half to one of my friends who really needs it
to me $1000 means that u still have to work hard but u can relax alittle bit but only for a little while cause it really is not that much money if u really think about it .

I would divide it up between 5 elderly people and 5 single parents that don't have much money after they pay bills like rent utilities food and medications cause governments (at least in the U.S.A. they have) have seem to forgotten about these people.

I give it to two strangers in need. We all could name millions of people in need and we all can name certain individuals, but helping strangers on a one to one basis - can do the most good and strengthen their desire to do likewise. Those you help on a one to one basis never forget those who helped. In my case Thank you Buck, I've past your desire to help to many others.

You just said we have to give it to people and then you ask why we would give it to them?
