Could he get the "swing vote"?

are you worried about his past scandals? (from having to resign from the House to various ethics charges)

at the very least he seems polarized with quite a bit of baggage... (kind of like Hillary in a way)

what do you think?

If the Republicans had stuck to the contract with America instead of turning into big government liberals, we wouldn't have a Democratic Congress right now. I do believe Newt authored it.

He's no doubt one of the smartest conservatives out there. But I think a lot of voters wouldn't get "excited" by his candidacy, he's not a "sexy" candidate- although he was on the "Ali G Show."

He's never get the swing vote, so he'd never get the nod during the primaries.

Sadly for you Dems he's not running, you'll have to get bested by the Republican candidate, instead of easily sailing to victory against Newt.

A Republican needs to win in order to put checks and balances on the Democratic House and Senate. I doubt a Republican will win though, and as we've seen, a united government is not a good thing. When our government is solely made up of one political party, government spending triples.

Newt for the GOP would be as stupid as Hillary Rotten Clinton for the Dem's. Those two are so horrific that Ross Perot would possibly finally have a shot... or Lieberman if he staged another write-in.

Is he still married to that little young thing, his past mistress that is young enough to be his daughter or possibly his grand daughter? Left a commited relationship and children for this.

Mark Foley has better shot than Gingrich , trust me!
Gingrich ran away from a formidable disgrace before it gets out of hand when he was majority speaker, he escaped the pub;ic scrutiny fear of further humiliation, he is way far from being presidential.

Did you read his book? I didn't but my friend was reading passages which i didn't want to hear. It was oral sex and her sitting on his face and total garbage. it was disgusting.
then he said all children instead of welfare should be put in orphanages if parents can't take care of them. Why give the parents the money. Let, them starve.
No hand outs to people period.

He would be considered the most conservative. So the media would immediately harass him to death.
