our english teacher told us it is. But, there's something in the back of my mind holding me onto the belief that there's still more in it. I think the notion of evanescent is for those people who are losers. Is it or is it not? Tell me.

Evanescent means vanishing or likely to vanish like vapor. And life is, in a way. Shakespeare said, in Hamlet, the moment you are born you being to die. And that is the basic truth of being human. We live, we die. There's no pattern, no timetable. No one gives you a program, presenting the different stages of your life, and what is going to happen, who you will know, who you'll meet. You are, then you aren't. So, in this respect, yes, life is evanescent.
