Im writing a paper for english, and the teacher specified that the paper has to be 3-4 pages long. Would you think that means 3-4 pages front and back? Or should I just wing it and do like 1 1/2-2 pages front and back?

I think it is just 3-4 pages 1 side most likely typed. That is the way things are done now right?

Well, I don't really know about your teacher.

Most teachers would be 12 font Times New Roman double spaced with 3 - 4 pages on one side.

However, your teacher may be different.

The "each and each" i assume your instructor used to declare that "each and each student" had to make it. If the instructor had talked to you, and the homework develop into in basic terms for you, she might have suggested "Write 3-4 pages on any 3 questions" :) So: Write 3-4 pages approximately 3 questions. (3-4 pages TOLAL)

You really should type it out. Are you in high school? If you are you need to type it. This would also solve the front and back thing.
