I think it really depends on what your idea of "success' and 'happiness" is. I don't believe that a person's I.Q. has anything to do with how happy they are. If success is measured by financial wealth, then a high I.Q. is not important- look at Britney Spears or Paris Hilton.

I really don't think your IQ score relates to either one. You can have a very high IQ but not have the common sense the good Lord gave an ant and be unsuccessful or unhappy or vice versa. IQ scores are over-rated, people learn things differently. One person may learn better visually and the next may learn better by listening. IQ tests are not set up in the eight categories of learning established by Gardner, so therefore they are not a tell all about how smart or dumb someone is.
Happiness comes from within, and not from your brain.

Generally, IQ measures your ability to learn. If you learn better and/or easier, you're more apt (unless you're lazy) to get a better education and probably a better job, thus increasing your chances for success. Happiness, on the other hand, is not related to IQ at all...you can be happy regardless of your success (or lack thereof).
