Life has been rough for me, I have always struggled to survive. but I find my self in a very bad position that I cant struggle out of. I fell as if I am dying, I feel as if I am rotting inside. I am diabetic, and to complicate things, I have an infection called Psudomonas. I cant afford to treat either condition. and I cannot get any government aid. I am a very talented artist/poet that never got his break. and want to spend what time I have left enjoying my childrens company, and creating great art

I am looking for a Patron of the arts to help me through my final difficult days and make it possible for me to leave my daughters some kind of legacy. when a man sees his end he wants to know that his life meant something.
I was meant to be one of the greats, or at least that is what Im told when my work is seen, but Ive never had the break I needed. Is there anyone out there who is willing to help out? or at least perhaps commission works?

Mort:
Are your poems in any form for publishing? I can not help only to tell you of a company that works with authors? See below and hope this is what you are looking for.
Wayne
I have written and self published two books, a very hard row to hoe. Then I discovered this! I recommend, If you browse to New York Literary Agency and follow their instructions. They ask you to send them a query letter with a promise to answer in two days. (They Do) If interested in your work they ask you to send your manuscript by email and show you how to do this. They promise to get back to you in two weeks and again they do. They charge nothing unless they find you a publisher and then only 15% of books sold. You can't beat this. I know of no others that do this in this time frame. Trust me, if you go the snail mail route with others it takes up to three years to get an answer if you get one at all. Please, please let me know how you make out if you take this route.

I'm not sure about the honest man getting real help from the government. We have to do it on our own, I believe. I'm sorry, I can't help you in the way that you would like but if I can just encourage you. I believe you still have time to do something great. I'm sure to your kids you have already somethings great. Artists aren't always appreciated in their time. (didn't want to hear that, I know) but you can still leave a legacy. I didn't visit your link yet, but I think the web is a good way to get things out there. My only advice is to pray, it is the only thing that has brought me through, knowing that I am not the One in charge and that all things happen for a reason.
Hope I helped.

Are you dying or are you planning to commit suicide? Or are you just begging? You can get medical help at any public hospital. There is a charity hospital in every major city. Sounds like you are depressed. Maybe you do your best work under such conditions though. There is help if you want it. Good luck.

try getting free diabetic meds and other meds from you doctor and have him apply to the free meds being given out by companies. Cheer up, you are probably feeling tired if you are off meds and this is depressing your spirit. Get back on meds and try a bit of faith. The faith might not help, but it could not hurt

have you tried your local arts council? alot of times they have art showings and you could include your art to be sold with other artist. contact local restarants and ask if you can hang some of your artwork in their places and dont forget local coffee houses as well. lots of artists hang out in coffee houses. about your disease, some towns or cities have free health clinics. check into that and see if you can get into a free health clinic to perhaps help you with your medical needs. dont give up, you have a lot to live for.
