trying to decide if a 360 is worth it? ideas?

You should get a 52" HdTV then go out and get your fiance a 360!!!!

you can play newer and better games on the xbox 360. the only games I play are halo 1&2 and karaoke revolution, so I prefer to just keep my regular xbox.... but my little bother swears that the xbox 360 is the greatest thing since sliced bread. I think it just really depends on your preference and what games you're gonna be playing on it.

Xbox 360 will support games from the older xbox. It's more expensive, but has newer/faster features.

the 360 is faster, quieter, cooler looking, and has better graphics than the xbox. it also supports newer bluray discs with an upgrade.
if you go with a reg xbox, you can pick one up for 70 bucks, used or refurb, have it modified for 40 bucks then just download/rip all your games.
you can do some AMAZING things with a modded xbox.
but, a 360 also allows you to play backups with a certain mod.
my vote is for the xbox modded and waiting for the 360 price drop.
