Some junior leagues play on whatever size rinks are available in the towns. If the rink is old, it might not be NHL regulation size. The WHL has 2 (I believe) rinks left that aren't quite NHL size in the oldest buildings.

Well I know that international rinks are larger (wider). If a team shares a rink with an NHL team then it would be the same size, right? Then it would make sense that all of the rinks had to be the same size.

Nhl rinks as well as Junior rinks are 200 feet long and 85 feet wide
Only in international hockey (Europe mostly) the rinks are wider 98.5 feet.

All standard rinks are 200 x 85 (NHL regulation)
Olympic or Euro Rinks are wider, just under 100'
