I am going through a bad breakup right now. My X g/f and I were pregnant and she lost the baby due to miscarriage. She found out during the pregnancy that I cheated on her when we were going through really tough times. She has since moved out of my house and back home with her parents. The breakup was real bad. We talk everyday and she even came to visit me last week and stayed the night. I think about her all day while I am at my office. I can't sleep at night, thinking she might be back with her x b/f before me. My chest hurts all day long, right above my xphoid process. Is this serious? What could be causing this? I am also having a real hard time concentrating. All I do is think about her and how I screwed up so bad. It hurts when I breathe in and it has been hurting since last night. What is wrong?

Time for you to see your doctor who is qualified, trained, and licensed to give you medical advice. People on this site are not. Good luck!!

You should take an asprin or any blood thinner for now, see if the pain goes away, also cut down on caffine, are you having a hard time breathing? If you do tell someone to drive you to emergency room. It can mean alot of things when you're having a chest pain- stress, pulmonary embolism, pre-stroke symptom.

You should go to a doctor ASAP could a virus but I would have it checked out

The cheating thing I don't know about.

One thing to keep you from cheating again is to think what you would feel like if the shoe were on the other foot?

Check with your doctor, IMMEDIATELY. While it's possible that you're having some sort of heart issue as previously mentioned, there's also the possiblity of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), better known as acid reflux. This can cause esophageal ulcers and possibly esophageal cancer. Either way, it merits attention... NOW.
