Do you mean 'Latvia' ?
In that case, the answer is Riga. There's a macron on top of the i, to show that it's a long vowel. (That's a short, horizontal line, but I can't produce it on this keyboard.) If you want to get a bonus point from your teacher, then you should put the macron on the i.
