i am 47 yr old female, with periods of shortness of breath, pain in left side right under ribs, and pressure on stomach area. have had heart checked out, it was ok. all symptoms are relieved by bowel movements.

The same type of pain could be caused by kidney stones as well... but generally start at your lower back left/right side and as the pain gets worse it will start to affect your whole side including the front and your rib cage. Another thing.. pleracy? not sure about the spelling... but this is when the lining of your lungs has rubbed and is sore or infected to a certain degree... I had it before, and it feels like a very sharp intense pain.. especially when you take a deep breath... it will go away eventually but is very annoying and painfull. Good luck

This is not a medical opinion, but from anecdotal evidence, it could be something as simple as gas. However, it could also be something much more serious. Go to a doctor!
