I've heard and read throughout my life that it is not good to get your fortune told, or to go see a psychic. Not for spiritual reasons, or going against your religion, but I've heard that you are not supposed to mess with your "destiny". I know that several stupid movies have been made about some of these theories, but does anyone have any serious thoughts or feelings on this matter? Do you think finding out what your future holds and trying to change things will mess up destiny, or one's "life course"?

My only comment on psychic readings is that they are most often ingenuous. Proclaimed "psychics" can "pick up" on many things about you, & tell you what they believe you want to hear. If one considers this to be valid, yes, of course there's a danger. That's not to say there aren't "true" psychics, & you'd have to use your own judegment. Precognition CAN change the future. I've seen this often enough that I have no choice but to believe in it. "Destiny" is, after all, a concept like a script that has been written & carved in stone. Lives have been saved by "precognition" & I know this to be a FACT. Personally, I wouldn't want to know about my "future." I'll deal with it when the time comes. In that sense, if one knew, & based their life on that "future"--certainly it could "mess them up." Don't believe everything you hear, but LISTEN with discretion.

Spirituality is born from a personal occurrence with a divine, psychic or mystical experience of one form or another which inevitably connects a person to All that Is/God/Goddess/Allah/Great Spirit /whatever you want to call it.
Religion is second hand opinion of someone else’s divine experience. I think you will find that religions, and especially fanatical religions, tend to separate and divide people, while spirituality brings people together.

I have had my cards read many times, and I read them myself. I usually don't ask any questions from whomever I am doing the reading for. Most of the psychics I know don't typically ask any questions of me, either.
A lot of the readers I know are also trained in Reiki, which is a healing art that will help many times if you are in need of it. There have been a couple of times that I was in dire need of help, (both spiritual and physical need) and when I went to be read, the psychic was able to give me a forecast AND give me spiritual guidance and healing.
The help she gave me was so valuable I will always be grateful to her and when I walked in, she never asked me the first question. But the information she gave me even scared me, it was SO full of details and SO correct!
But to more answer your question--the future should not be cast in stone! Our lives should be changeable and we should be able to make our own destinies.
Why are you able to decide to go to college, have babies or get married, for example? If we can't choose our destinies, we shouldn't be able to make those kinds of decisions, either.
Having a heads-up just gives us a way to make better decisions, I think. I know it always helps me, and it helps the people that I read for, also.

The future is forever changing. Sometimes you are SUPPOSED to have a heads up on what could happen. Other times, you will go to a reader and they will 'draw a blank'. This doesn't mean that they are a bad reader, just that you weren't meant to know something.
Any tarot reader worth his/her salt (or any psychic) SHOULD tell you that the future they are telling is one of many. Basically, if you continue doing what you are doing, without changing anything, this is what will likely happen.

everyone has somewhat psychic skill to them. many days i visit chat approximately something astounding with my boyfriend and we can see it later in the day, something that may not be able to be only accident. I dont be attentive to if it has any signifigance, i'm specific it is going to why else do we observe it? perhaps its just to maintain the theory in magic alive. perhaps its spirits chatting with the psycic, giving them innovations that grew to become into meant so which you would be able to hear....theres no the place you will be that may no longer the place your meant to be. only delight in them!! I don't think that psychics and tarot can tell you "This WILL happen" - they are more "This MAY happen" or "This IS LIKELY to happen" based on your current circumstances and path.
I don't believe that my life is predestined and that I have "no control" over my future. 'Cause if it is, and nothing I do makes a difference, then what's the point?

I think that psychics get their info from demons, its an even trade, psychics get the money and demons get to lead people off of the path that God has for them. So you see, people listen to the psychics.demons, and get lost, sort-of-to-speak. There are ways of finding out what your future holds religiously, its called a spiritual gift and you can find it in the church, its called prophecy and only when God tells these gifted people to tell you-for free-what your future holds, I would still recommend praying over what a prophect tells you anyways, because humans are not perfect and you want to make syre you get it right.
