1500 - 850 = 650
so he has to earn $650 in commission
set it up like this:
2% of what number is $650?
if you translate that to math it looks like this:
0.02 (2%) * n (of what number) = (is) 650
or
650 = 0.02 n

n = 650/0.02
n = 32,500

to check it multiply $32,500 by 2%
32500 * 0.02 = 650
650 + 850 = 1500

If he gets a flat $850 plus the 2% commission, then he needs to earn an additional $650 to get up to $1,500.

$650 divided by 2% = 650/.02 = 650 X 50 = 32,500 in weekly sales.

Prove it out:
$32,500 x 2% = $650
$650 + $850 = $1,500

well, 1500-850 =650.
what is $650 2% of?
its not 75000- then the whole 1500 would be the 2%.
the answer is 32500.
because 32500 x .02 = 650
and 650 + 850 = 1500

Let n= total sales.

His weekly earnings plus his 2% should equal 1500.
850 + .02n = 1500

Subtract 850 from both sides.
.02n = 650

Divide both sides by .02
n = 32,500

I hate is/of for precisely this reason, it's not always applicable to every single problem that mentions %. It's only useful when the percentage refers to a portion of the whole. You can use a proportion once you subtract the 850 from his total earnings.

His commission of sales was $1500-$850=$650
Now,let us find 2% owhat amount is $650
2%=2/100=1/50
therfore,the amount is $650*50/1=$32,500
Hence his sales was $32,500

how much does he need to earn from sales to have 1500, if he already earns 850:

1500 - 850 = x

x is the 2% commission of some figure y, which represents his total sales.

y * 0.02 = x

y * 0.02 = 1500 - 850

y = (1500 - 850) / 0.02

y = ?

I see your combination up - A = PiR^2 astounding? nicely, section = Pi (radius squared), the place you place the radius as 40 8. The Diameter is 24 cm, astounding? nicely, in the formula, radius is in simple terms a million/2 of the diameter, so which you may desire to be employing 12^2, no longer 40 8^2 Your formula might desire to look like this: section = Pi(3.14) * 12^2 That'll supply you the final answer.

difference to be made up = 1,500 - 850 = 650
X = total sales per week
so our equation is 2% of X = 650

.02 x = 650 ....multiply both sides by 50
to get X = >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>...................................

you can do it
