I am going with 4 other people (5 total) from Midland, Texas to Las Vegas, Nevada. We are looking for a package that includes flight and hotel. I have looked on all the regular websites (hotels.com, expedia, etc.) but i thought maybe someone had a great (and cheap) new idea !!

If you drive you save money. Choose a cheaper place off the strip. Drive to a place on the strip and take the bus, trolley or monorail. If you are going to gamble, get a comp card, and use it as a discount at the buffet. Eat well at the buffet and you will not need to eat for the rest of the day.
Go to a web site like Vegas.com and get your tickets to the shows now! If you wait until you get to Vegas to get tickets, you are out of luck!
In my opinion, the best overall package for the price is the Orleans. The only thing you will need is to go to other casinos for show. But check out at least three web sites for the best deal. Vegas.com is usually better than the hotels own web site.

Really, you should stick with the more reliable sites like Expedia if you're planning on flying. There's also a chance that if all the seat in first class aren't filled by the time you get to the airport, you might be able to upgrade your seat for free. However, I wouldn't count on it. You could always drive but it will be draining and if you don't plan out your drive you can easily tire yourself out before you even get to the hotel. You can consider taking a shuttle but driving may be cheaper. Greyhounds are always an option. Once you get to Las Vegas, that's where the real money saving starts. I can help you out with that atleast.

Tips:
-You can get free drinks from the waitresses (The catch is that they count on you getting so drunk you spend all your money)
-To get the most amount of free drinks (And sometimes free snacks) you should slap down a ten dollar tip early
-Look around your reception desk for any promoters giving out free shows and dinners
-Don't rent a car, you don't need one
-Older hotels are much better for gambling
-Try to find a hotel with cheap prices and a good location, you'll probrably be spending your day looking at other hotels anyway
-The fountains of Belagio is worth a look because it's free (For the best view, you can drop about 10 bucks to get on the Eiffel Tower)
-Theme hotels like the Luxor are impressive and are worth a visit even if you don't spend money there
-Check the free local newspapers to find the best values on meals and shows
-Play table games instead of slots, they offer better odds, last longer, and are arguably more fun
-Your TV will have a channel dedicated to casino games, it's worth it to watch for an hour and pick up tips
-If you can, get a VIP card (Ask your hotel where you can get one) because it will give you free money to play slots and will often get you some benefits. The vast majority of them are absolutely free
-Have fun

Sign up for Airline sale notifications, Southwest is always running cheap airfare sales. Packages are not always the cheapest way to go.

Cheapest days are Sunday - Thursday, Friday and Saturday the room rates soar sky high.

The Orleans has room rates around $60 all the time and it has many things to do right there with shuttles to the strip.

Well, I found the best way to plan a trip to Vegas is figure out how much money you have to gamble with. Take half of that and mail it to your favorite Casino. Saves you a lot of money. They don't have all those big casinos out there because they lose.

No, sorry. maximum motels require somebody to be 21 at verify in. they're going to verify identification. attempt those motels for 18+ verify in: Riveria (On Strip) Las Vegas lodge (interior sight Off Strip) Golden Nugget (Downtown) super 8 (interior sight Off Strip) as far as roa holiday information pass...while you're finding for ordinary locations to renounce alongside the way then attempt highway u.s.. additionally, in case you never drove in the path of the barren area verify you supply up and get gas once you notice a station (not mandatory once you prefer gas through fact there in all threat heavily isn't something for miles). it would be a sturdy concept to devise your path previous to time and the two ask somebody who has made the holiday in the past the place they stopped or verify online for the gas stations. the only path i be conscious of is Las Vegas to la and the gas supply up in Barstow.
