Here's a unique answer: If I could know what my life would be like ahead of time, and I end up not liking what I see, then I might not choose to live.
Right now, my life is not very exciting without certain things, but I keep living in hope that they will occur someday. However, if I were to be told, straight-up, that they aren't going to occur, not now nor in the near or far future, I would find a way to end life.
Life is defined by certain things. Without them, it's meaningless.
